If you don't know who Dr Disrespect is, that's probably because you have a mortgage and a life that isn't centered on social media or gaming.

Herschel "Guy" Beahm, 42, known online as Dr Disrespect was banned from Twitch in 2020 for reasons, that up until this week had remained mostly a mystery. At the time of his ban, Dr was one of the largest streamers on the platform.

But this week, Cody Conners, a former Twitch employee confirmed that Doc's ban was due to his messaging of underage women through the Twitch Whispers app.

Conners alleged that Doc was sending inappropriate messages to a minor and attempting to "meet up" with said minor at TwitchCon 2020.

For the past few days, these rumors swirled Doc remained silent. But last night during his Elden Ring stream, the Doc informed his audience that he'd be taking time away as he was "getting burnt out" on gaming. Funnily enough, at the same time, he said this on stream, Midnight Society Game Studio, the studio Dr Disrepsect helped co-found, announced they were serving all ties with the creator and alleged predator.

This brings us to today and what Doc posted on his Twitter about said allegations. Doc goes on and on about how he isn't a "pedophile" though he does admit to having inappropriate conversations with a minor.

He writes,  "Were there Twitch whisper messages with an individual minor back in 2017?  The answer is yes.  Were there real intentions behind these messages, the answer is absolutely not. These were casual, mutual conversations that sometimes leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate, but nothing more. "

The 42-year-old, mullet-wearing, video game-playing, inappropriate texter of underage girls might not lose a ton of his fans (come on, they suck too) but he has lost all good grace from anyone who isn't also a pedophile.
